Is Vincent coming back to EastEnders and what happened to him?

Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) in EastEnders has been having a few nostalgic moments recently following the birth of her second child.

Shes decided to sell the home she shared with husband Vincent Hubbard (Richard Blackwood) and going through some of the memories she shared with him before he mysteriously left.

In Thursdays episode Kim shared with Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) that she wasnt feeling ready to move on and – although she discarded her wedding ring – she misses Vincent.

Kim is also then seen looking through old pictures of their times together, in a hint from the show that it may not be the last weve seen of him.

Its been almost a year since Vincent left in very dangerous circumstances indeed, with a gun from a corrupt cop at his head but his fate never officially revealed.

After he got mixed up with Aidan Maguire (Patrick Bergin), things seemed to have gone from bad to worse for the character, but it seemed that was not his rock bottom and he either died or was forced to leave his family behind for a new life. Could he be coming back, however?

Richard Blackwood certainly wants to, telling hosts on Good Morning Britain that hed be keen.

He said: I would go back. EastEnders, I would go back, and that it would be a smart move of show bosses to make it happen.

Furthermore, he added that he doesnt want Vincent shirking his responsibilities, saying: Ive just had a baby on the show, I dont want to be an absentee dad.

One fan theory suggests that his return might be tied into the storyline of Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) trying to bring down his dad Phil (Steve McFadden).

At the time of Vincents disappearance, Phil seemed to know exactly what was going on, and even said to someone on the phone to scare him as the henchmans car sped away.

Phil also said some cryptic things to dodgy Ray Kelly (Sean Mahon) when he asked about Vincent back in December, claiming: Whatever you think you know, you dont, and its what you dont know that you dont want to worry about.
