Fear not, Beverly Hills, 90210 diehards: Foxs impending reboot will not be without our beloved Brenda. Some two months after the network officially announced it would stage an unusual reunion of the 1990s teen drama, star Shannen Doherty at last confirmed shell reprise her role as Brenda Walsh.
Deadline first confirmed Dohertys involvement, though the star herself posted a throwback Instagram shot to make it official:
Dohertys name was originally absent from a cast list that included Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Gabrielle Carteris and Ian Ziering. Original series star Luke Perry had not yet signed on to the revival by the time of his death on March 4, owing to his role on The CWs Riverdale, though the Fox project is expected to pay tribute to the late actor in some form.
