Mason (Orpheus Pledger) has been dedicated to carrying out a medical trial with Raffy (Olivia Deeble) in an attempt to manage her epilepsy symptoms. Although the treatment was going well, Mason was caught by police while he was picking up a large package of cannabis in order to create more CBD oil.

Following Raffys collapse due to a seizure, which lead to a suspected head injury, she is rushed to hospital. Mason believes that this is the exact proof Tori (Penny McNamee) is looking for – previously, she had stated that Raffys improvement in symptoms was due to a placebo effect, not because the oil was actually making a difference.

He questions her – if shes been off the oil for less than a week, and this happens, especially after clear improvements in her wellbeing and schoolwork during the trial, surely this means the oil was working? However, Tori refuses to discuss it, and wants to focus on Raffys health.

However, her opinion is shifted when Justin (James Stewart) gently talks to her about it – perhaps they should be listening to Mason, as he only wants whats best for Raffy, like they all do. Should they prevent Raffy from getting better? Reluctantly, Tori agrees to consider a medicinal trial.

Mason is determined to spread the word about the success of the cannabis oil, and decides to change his statement with the police. Hes going to come clean about the fact he was buying the marijuana for medicinal purposes. In fact, he wants to go public about it in order to help others who are suffering like Raffy.

Considering the fact that his lawyers said taking this route could lead to a conviction for supplying drugs to a minor, and therefore a harsher outcome if the judge isnt lenient, is Mason going to make a difference for epilepsy sufferers or end up throwing his entire future away?
