A familiar face turns up in EastEnders tonight – well familiar to the other characters anyway. Actor Clay Milner Russell is taking over the role of Lucys killer, Bobby Beale, as he is released from prison and returns to Walford, much to the shock of Kathy (Gillian Taylforth).

Fans are used to seeing Eliot Carrington in the role of the troubled lad – who murdered his sister with a music box and later left Jane in a wheelchair after a frenzied attack with a hockey stick. But as Bobby turns up back at home tonight, his face will have changed – but will the characters bloodthirsty nature have also altered after his time away from the family?

Kathys focus is on running the opening night of The Prince Albert but as she slips away after Kim Fox-Hubbard (Tameka Empson) gets everything under control, she arrives home to find Bobby waiting for her. And its the last thing that she expected seeing as Ian (Adam Woodyatt) hasnt pre-warned her that Bobby would be arriving.
