Lorraine Kelly has explained the reasons behind her snub towards Esther McVey earlier this week, saying its about the policies, not the woman.
The daytime TV presenter caused viral gold after claiming not to remember the Conservative MP from her days as a presenter on breakfast show GMTV.
Since then, Esther suffered a humiliating defeat in the race to become the next Tory party leader, coming last with only nine votes from her respective MPs.
Appearing on The Last Leg following Esthers defeat, Lorraine sprinkled a casual swipe, saying: It was always going to happen.

Clarifying her snub earlier in the week, she added: I honestly genuinely dont remember her at GMTV because I was doing my own show, so I was on my own and they were doing their thing.

And she didnt last very long. Im only saying. You know what it was, it was Monday morning and I was fed up because Im fed up with all the toxic political landscape and we deserve better and I think she just… that was the final straw kind of thing.
The only thing that really worried me, because I said the next day to Piers Morgan, “Im really angry about this. Im just so angry and annoyed.” And he said, which is really worrying, he said: “When youre angry, it really turns me on.”
So I have been sweetness and light and happy for the rest of the week.
Asked if she believes Esther would make a good Prime Minister, Lorraine replied: No. I dont think any of them would.
No its the policies not the woman, particularly when it comes to LGBT rights, it just got my hump and I just got very cross and I got annoyed.
