A tourist smirked for a mugshot after she allegedly stomped on a nest of unborn sea turtles and prodded them with a stick.

Yaqun Lu, 41, reportedly ignored Do Not Disturb signs before embarking on the rampage at Miami Beach on Saturday.

Lu, a Chinese citizen who now lives in Hudsonville, Michigan, was seen jabbing at the sea turtle nest before stomping all over the nest with her bare feet, Miami Beach Police said.

The Miami Herald reported that the nest was in a protected area of the beach, fenced off with eight wooden stakes and the aforementioned sign.

Despite Lus alleged bad behavior, none of the eggs in the nest are believed to have been damaged.

Sea turtles are federally protected by both US and Florida endangered species laws.
