This remake of George Romeros classic really doesnt get the credit it deserves for reviving (pun somewhat intended) zombies in contemporary horror and horror-comedy. Before iZombie, The Walking Dead, Zombieland, and even 28 Days Later, Sarah Polley anchored Dawn Of The Dead as a nurse who, when her neighbors start succumbing to a mysterious ailment that makes them prey on human brains, bunkers down in a mall with a handful of fellow survivors played by Mekhi Phifer, Ty Burrell, and Ving Rhames.
