Richard Ayoade will be handing over the Travel Man suitcase and passport to Joe Lycett in 2020.
Crystal Maze and IT Crowd star Richard will appear in one more series of the cult TV travel show – that sees comedians head on adventures around the globe – before Joe takes over.
Speaking about the new job, stand-up comedian Joe said: Im beyond excited to take over the brilliant, charming show that Richard has nurtured.
Im less excited about the number of times Im going to have to take off my shoes at Birmingham Airport.
His first series, the tenth overall, will air in 2020.
On top of his stand-up work, Joe has become known for his matter-of-fact sense of humour which has resulted in his own Watchdog show, Joe Lycetts Got Your Back.
He also hosts the BBCs Great British Sewing Bee, and makes frequent appearances on shows including Live At The Apollo.

Over the course of Travel Mans run, Ayoade has recruited some A-List names as well as British favourites to go off on expeditions with him.
Mad Men star Jon Hamm met up with him to explore Hong Kong, while Rebel Wilson took in Florence.
Other classic episodes include Noel Fielding heading over to Copenhagen with the host, and Dawn French seeing the sights of Athens.
Joe has previously been a guest on the series himself, with the pair causing trouble in Amsterdam.
Travel Man returns later this year on Channel 4.
