Derry Girls season two had everything: we laughed, we cried and we fell even more in love with the wee English fella James (Dylan Llewellyn).
In one particularly heartwarming episode, Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson) gets stood up on the night of the prom but just as she tearfully decides to call it a night, James returns home from a Doctor Who convention to be her date.
The moment is so pure and it sowed the seeds of a potential romance between the pair.
Fellow cast member Nicola Coughlan who plays the wee lesbian Claire is fully on board for the unexpected spark between Erin and James to blossom into a full-blown romance.
I want it to happen so badly! she told Radio Times.
Yeah I really want it to happen, although its so funny because were like siblings now, so the thought of Saoirse and Dylan now having to kiss I find hilarious. But for the characters, yeah, I really want it to happen.
Saoirse-Monica added: I dont think any of us could ever conjure up or imagine what Lisa [McGee]s going to do, but I think theres something to be said that a boy and a girl in their teens choose to be friends.
