Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) has been on the receiving end of plenty of violence since returning to EastEnders earlier this year. Yes, hes been punched by Callum (Tony Clay), pushed up against a wall by Stuart (Ricky Champ), and roughed up a bit by Jonno — but all of this is nothing compared to the brutal beating hes set to take in the coming episodes.
With Phil (Steve McFadden) having practically disowned him — and Callum wanting nothing to do with him following their night of passion last month — Ben doesnt have much to smile about at the moment. However, theres something else troubling the young man next week, and he starts to behave irresponsibly — mainly with a few all-nighters.
Following one of these all-nighters, Shirley (Linda Henry) spots him returning home to the Square, and grows a bit concerned. As a result, she decides to relay this information to Phil — whos not in the least bit pleased to learn about his sons behaviour, and resorts to take drastic action after consulting both Keanu (Danny Walters) and Lola (Danielle Harold).

Lola is concerned about Bens irresponsible antics and — after he pulls another all-nighter — she forces the young Mitchell lad to reveal whats really going on.
In spite of Lola having shown him support, Bens rebellious behaviour is far from over as — after spotting a few men sneering at him — he proceeds to antagonise the lads, which leads to a physical brawl — with things getting very violent.
