A murdered babys body was left in an unspeakable condition after the little girls parents battered her to death, police say.
Jadalynn Barton was pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital in Robeson County, North Carolina, last Tuesday, with her parents now the prime suspects in her death.
The one year-olds dad dad Jonathan Blake Barton, 17, has now been charged with her murder, with Jadalynns mom Sarah Hardin, 25, facing felony child abuse inflicting serious injury.
Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said: This is such a troubling case that no one would want to imagine.
The condition of this innocent infant is unspeakable and was really difficult for our investigators.
As the investigation continues all I can do is ask for the county to pray.

Jadalynns exact cause of death has not yet been determined, with an autopsy set to take place on Friday morning.
She was admitted to hospital covered in cruises, ABC11 reported.
Hardin is currently being held at Robeson County Detention Center in lieu of $1.5million bond.
