Janelle Monae will succeed Julia Roberts as the second season lead of Amazons Homecoming and we are living for it.
The actress and singer will play a woman who wakes up in a canoe with no idea of how she got there or who she is, according to Deadline.
Weve all been there.
Janelle, who recently opened up about masturbation, has already wowed in Moonlight and Hidden Figures so were expecting big things.
Were not sure which of Homecomings original cast will be joining Janelle for the second series, but the plot already sounds like its going to keep us up at night.
Julia Roberts, who played the leading lady in the first season, will continue on as an executive producer of the psychological thriller – which is produced by Amazon Studios and UCP.

Julia played Heidi Bergman (Roberts), a caseworker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, a Geist Group facility, helping soldiers transition back to civilian life.
Walter Cruz (Stephan James) was one of these soldiers, eager to begin the next phase of his life.

And of course, overseeing Heidi and the facility was Colin Belfast (Bobby Cannavale), an ambitious company man whose manic demands pointed to some very questionable motives.
Four years later, when Heidi started a new life, living with her mother as a small-town waitress, a Department of Defense auditor (Shea Whigham) comes to her with questions about why she left the Homecoming facility.
As the questions kept on rolling Heidi began to realize that there was a whole other story behind the story shed been telling herself for the past four years.
