Amanda Holden has defended the shock elimination of Paul Potts from Britains Got Talent: The Champions after the shows first-ever winner sensationally missed out on a place in the upcoming grand finale.

On Saturday night, the first episode of the All-Star series saw a collective of superfans vote for their top performance of the night, which saw the likes of Ashleigh Butler and her pooch Sully, child star Connie Talbot, and Simon Cowells favourites Boogie Storm return to the BGT stage, competing against some of the most notorious Got Talent acts from across the world.

In the end, no Britains Got Talent star was worthy of a place in the final, but it was Pauls absence from the top three which was the biggest upset of the night.

I self-analyse after every performance and I can pick out every error, he tweeted after the episode aired.

My job is to do everything I can to avoid slipping up due to these things including technical issues.
