Ouch. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire viewers were pained when a contestant needed a lifeline to answer what colour is Mr Bump? on last nights episode.

Sheffields Chris Dent was stumped by the £1000 question about the popular childrens book character created by Roger Hargreaves.

Theyll be screaming at the telly at home, Dent told host Jeremy Clarkson before deciding to ask the audience for help.

85% of them responded with the correct answer—blue.

Its what I thought, said Dent, but you…sit [here] and you doubt yourself.

Viewers were not impressed by the insurance brokers request for assistance so early in the game.

If you have to ask the audience what colour Mr Bump is, you are not going home with a million, tweeted Jessica Brown.

As Dent predicted, another person tweeted: Im screaming BLUE at TV Mr Bump was blue!

Some viewers were a bit more pragmatic.

[I] wasnt confident Mr Bump was blue. Everyone has varying knowledge, said another.

Dent, who recently became a father, admitted hes been a bit sleep-deprived in the months before his turn in the hot seat.

Despite his rocky start, the contestant had more success with subsequent questions about Friends and biology, eventually answering his way to a £16,000 payout.

Clarkson used the Friends question to make a cheeky remark about Matt LeBlanc, saying: I dont know what happened to the actor who played Joey—disappeared without a trace.

LeBlanc took over Top Gear co-presenting duties after Clarkson was fired in 2015 for what the BBC called an unprovoked physical attack on a producer.

Preceding Dent in the hot seat was Manchesters Julian Aldridge, who chose to walk away with a whopping £250,000 after he wasnt confident about a question on world capitals.
