Actor Jamie Lomas has been in the spotlight after an incident at the TV Choice Awards which has resulted in Emmerdale star Asan NJie being sacked from the soap.
Footage from the incident, showing a brawl between the soap stars during the after party during which Asan appeared to make threats towards Jamie, led to ITV launching an investigation – with the actor being axed as a result.
Asan later apologised to Jamie in a statement as he said: My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.
I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards. I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this.

Jamie – who joined the star-studded ranks at the ceremony on Monday night, is best known for his roles in Hollyoaks and Coronation Street, as well as being a former Im A Celebrity runner-up.

Jamie is 44 years old and is from Bury, having been born there on 21 April 1975.
Acting-wise its Hollyoaks for which hes best known, having played the role of Warren Fox on and off from 2006.
It was recently revealed that the infamous character is set to return to the soap full-time after making a surprise appearance over the summer.
Warren is one of the soaps most notorious villains, having been involved in drug dealing and murder – with five of the shows other characters having been killed by him.
He was thought to have died in the loft fire in 2010 but was later revealed to have faked his own death by stabbing another characterm Dale Greer (Chris Geere) and using his body to make it look as though he had perished.
Warren was seen most recently after he was revealed as the father of the twins Sienna (Anna Passey) kidnapped, confirming that they were hers – before he took them off to Spain with him.
