NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday kick started the auction of the gifts and mementoes received by him in the last one year.
The Prime Minister tweeted that the mementoes would be on display at the National Gallery of Modern Art in the capital and the proceeds of the auction will be donated to the Namami Gange Mission to clean river Ganga.

There would also be an e-auction of the items. The auction started on Saturday, September 14, and will continue till October 3.
Over 2,772 gift items received by PM Modi in the past six months will be put under the hammer on the e-portal launched for this purpose. The lowest base price of the gift item is Rs 200 and the highest is more than Rs 2 lakh.
