Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) is still getting her head around the devastating news that she could only have weeks to live after her cancer aggressively returned and spread in Coronation Street. As the chemotherapy continues to weaken her, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) is left concerned when she cant even hold Bertie and he questions whether she should stop having the treatment.
Sinead is horrified by the notion and angrily accuses Daniel of wanting her to die quickly as she is a burden to him, which of course is far from the case. As Daniel tries to assure Sinead of how he truly feels, he finds the atmosphere too distressing and heads to work to escape.
With Sinead regretting her harsh words to Daniel, she opens up to Beth (Lisa George) about her prediacment and eventually makes a decision – she will try one more round of chemotherapy but if she is still feeling as ill as she is now, she will stop the treatment.
Daniel and Sinead eventually come back together and, knowing that they have a limited time, hold each other close as the enormity of their tragedy continues to hit home.
Katie recently filmed her final scenes as Sinead, which are bound to be absolutely devastating as she loses her fight for life. And in the wake of this, Daniel will hit rock bottom and go off the rails, being left for dead after passing out on the streets after an alcohol binge.
