Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad inaugurates Bihar’s first ‘Aadhaar sewa kendra’ in Patna

PATNA: Union minister of law and justice, communications and electronics and information technology Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday inaugurated an Aadhaar Sewa Kendra at Sai Tower on the new Dak Bungalow road in Patna.
The sewa Kendra has altogether 16 counters for enrolment of residents for Aadhaar number and updation of data and biometrics in the existing Aadhaar.
It is the first Aadhaar sewa Kendra in Bihar and 10th in the country, where 16 counters will be working six days in a week for convenience of public.
Inaugurating the Patna centre, Prasad said, "We are going to set up 154 similar Aadhaar Sewa Kendra in 53 cities across the country. Patna centre is one of them. One more such centre will be set up in other locality of Patna."
