Megan McKenna left some Good Morning Britain viewers livid after slightly comparing herself to global superstar Adele.
The 25-year-old Towie star appeared on the show opposite Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley following her success as a country musician, where she’s even knocked Taylor Swift off the charts.
During the appearance however, the discussion turned to whether her Essex accent proved a hurdle in the transition to country singer, and whether she’s ever felt pressure to change her ways.

Speaking on the show, Megan said: ‘I used to have elocution lessons when I was growing up, and then it kind of got to the point where I was like, “this is me”.
‘I mean, look at Adele. She sings and she’s not posh, posh, posh. But she’s absolutely amazing. She’s smashing it. She’s global. I just think why change yourself? I’m going to stay as me.’
Some viewers however weren’t letting the comparison wash with their breakfast tea. At all.

Ouch.
It was recently speculated Megan will have ‘less screen time’ on Towie going forward, as she pursues her country music career.
