Ashley Walters is creating a new TV series about garage in the UK.

The Bulletproof actor is calling on people to share their memories of the underground scene, on Twitter.

He wrote: Im developing a TV show set around the garage scene in the 90s. I wanna hear memories about the scene – record stores, mad nights out, pirate radio, which of you broke all the rules to be a part of it?

We wanna know it all! SHARE YOUR MEMORIES AT http://www.slnda.com/pirates-memories

The former member of So Solid Crew is also getting people to submit their memories on the website of his production company SLNda which he founded in 2017.

Walters was also a part of a project with friend and Kidulthood creator Noel Clarke recently, as they collaborated to create Bulletproof, a British cross between Lethal Weapon and Bad Boys.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk about the Sky One series in May, Clarke revealed that they deliberately made his character Pikes wife dark-skinned.

It was intentional. Completely. We wanted to normalise being a black family on television.

Its massively important because young children of colour dont see that representation.

Without us making an issue of it, he added, it was one of the important elements of the show and something we didnt have to push for, we just said this is the way its gotta be, youve gotta have a dark skinned wife, and thats what happened.

One of my favourite scenes in the whole shoe that really normalised everything is Pike and his wife in the bath.

It wasnt anyones idea but mine and Ashleys. That was a choice. That was something intentional that we wanted to make sure happened.
