Now that were in the middle of a mid-season break, its the perfect time to catch up with older episodes, refresh your memory, or relive the time before we lost our lord and savior Rick Grimes.
How many seasons of The Walking Dead are there?
The show first aired in 2010. Since then, there have been a total of 8 whole seasons, and currently were smack in the middle of the 9th.
At the moment, were on a mid-season break. The Walking Dead will pick back up again with with a brand new group of baddies when episode 9 airs on the 10 February.
As for there being a 10th season, its already in the works according to ComicBook.com, so we dont have to worry about saying goodbye to the walkers just yet.

Heres where you can watch The Walking Dead
For the last decade, The Walking Dead has aired in the UK on FOX. Its not clear yet exactly what time the new episodes will be shown, but its safe to assume that itll be post-watershed.
If you want to watch older episodes, there are few streaming platforms to choose from.
Seasons 1-7 are available to stream on Amazon Prime, and seasons 8-9 are available to download for a cost.
You can also pay to download all the episodes from seasons 1-9 in iTunes. You can either buy them individually or you can bulk buy whole seasons.
