People should have learned by now to protect their food when seagulls are around.
Alicia Jessop found out the hard way you cannot trust the pesky birds.
She was just about to enjoy a tasty looking lobster roll when it was stolen by a seagull on Friday.
Pepperdine University sports law professor Ms Jessop only had herself to blame as her food was grabbed while she was taking a selfie in front of the Nubble Lighthouse.
She told Buzzfeed: I was kind of like figuring out how to hold the lobster roll — Do I hold it long? Do I hide it wide? What angle should the lighthouse be in? — and then I just felt something move the lobster roll.
I didnt even see the seagull coming.
This is why we cant have nice things. I was trying to take a picture of the lobster roll I ordered in Maine and well, this happened

She added her lobster roll went everywhere before other seagulls came and finished it off.
Ms Jessop did see the funny side despite having to pay another $21.50 for a new roll at Foxs Lobster House in Maine, United States.
She tweeted out a picture of her getting robbed, with the caption: This is why we cant have nice things. I was trying to take a picture of the lobster roll I ordered in Maine and well, this happened.
$43 and one seagull attack later, I am now enjoying my first lobster roll at Foxs Lobster House in York, Maine. pic.twitter.com/ZsBFjakcfU
