A woman in the Bahamas took nearly 100 dogs into her home as raging winds from the Category 5 Hurricane Dorian hit.
Chella Philips, manager of The Voiceless Dogs of Nassau, said 97 dogs were in her home in New Providence, the most heavily populated island in the Bahamas.
Pictures showed the strays – many of them abandoned when people fled the monster storm – running through her home.
As the islands were slammed by Dorians 200mph winds, Chella wrote on Facebook: 97 dogs are inside my house and 79 of them are inside my master bedroom.
It has been insane since last night, poop and piss non stop but at least they are respecting my bed and nobody has dared to jump in.
The Voiceless Dogs of Nassau is not a nonprofit that works to send local dogs to adoption and rescue agencies in the United States.
Chella wrote: We may not get hit as hard as other islands and the saddest part is that after the hurricane leave the Bahamas, some islands will take a long time to recover.

Each island has an abundance of homeless dogs, my heart is so broken for the ones without a place to hide from a Cat 5 monster and only God can protect them now.
She said she had barricaded the house, was playing music for the dogs and had turned on her air conditioning to keep the animals cool.
Chellas charity has cared for almost 1,000 abandoned dogs from across the Bahamas.
People who heard about her rescue donated funds so she was able to buy crates for the dogs to sleep in.
Monster storm Dorian came to a near stand-still over the Bahamas on Monday, prolonging the agony as surging seawaters and hurricane winds made a shambles of low-lying island communities.
She later told ABC Action News that she had lost power and some water had begun leaking into her home.
At least five people died and some 13,000 homes were destroyed by raging winds of up to 200mph.
In Florida, where the hurricane is set to hit today, the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast has begun taking on pets whose owners have been forced to evacuate and leave them behing.
