Justin (James Stewart) and Bens (Rohan Nichol) relationship took a huge knock when Ben found out that Justin knew about Brody (Jackson Heywood) cheating on Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) the whole time, but didnt say anything to the Astonis, choosing instead to keep his brothers secret. As this resulted in Ziggy discovering Brody and Simone (Emily Eskell) together in her caravan, followed by depression and weeks of drinking and all-night parties, Ben has gone off Justin big time and avoided him where possible.
As Justin and Leah (Ada Nicodemou) walk along the beach, they bump into Maggie (Kestie Morassi) and Ben. While Justin tries to get a normal conversation going by asking about Ziggy, Ben manages to bring it back to Brody, making it clear hes not going to forget what he considers to be Justins betrayal any time soon.

Justin heads into the beach, and Ben also disappears. Leah asks Maggie why Ben keeps pushing Justin, and Maggie reminds her of the amount of pain Simone and Brody brought Ziggy by going public with their relationship and going around town flaunting it.
Later on, Justin confesses to Leah about how disappointed he is that Ben is still behaving in a hostile way towards him, and makes it clear he now has no intention of trying to mend the broken bridge again. Meanwhile, as Maggie speaks to Ben about the situation, he refuses to budge or make any effort to try and fix the damaged friendship.
In the morning, Maggie meets with Leah, and the two of them realises their partners arent going to make any effort to become friends again. Wanting to help fix the situation, they start hatching a plan to get the two back in each others good books again…
