PIERS MORGAN, Good Morning Britain host alongside Susanna Reid, has been replaced on tomorrow’s show after revealing he’s had to take a test for coronavirus since suffering with a symptom of the deadly illness.

Piers Morgan, 55, has been replaced on Good Morning Britain after developing a mild coronavirus symptom in the last 48-hours. Earlier yesterday evening, he told worried fans that he would be stepping down from the ITV flagship news program for safety reasons.

ITV have since revealed fellow host Ben Shepherd, will present alongside Susanna Reid instead.

The outspoken presenter confirmed he has taken a test for COVID-19 and will not be co-hosting the show until he receives the results.

Piers took to Twitter to announce the worrying news, but didn’t divulge which symptom hed developed.

The GMB host tweeted: “UPDATE: On medical advice, and out of an abundance of caution for a mild symptom that arose in past 48hrs, Ive had a test for COVID-19 and so wont be working on @GMB until I get the result back, which should be tomorrow.”

The 55-year-old presenter usually presents the morning show with Susanna on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Fans took to the comments section to send their love and well wishes following his health update, as they hoped for good news.

One said: ““Oh no, I really hope you dont have it, get well soon Piers, GMB wont be the same without you.”

“Please stay well, who else will keep this so called government on their toes,” a second remarked.

Celebrity pals also sent their love, with online nemesis and rival host from BBC Breakfast, Dan Walker posting: “I hope youre feeling better soon Piers. Stay safe.”

Actress Linda Lusardi also sent her support: “I really hope you havent got it. Wishing you well. Im here if you want to ask me anything. Love Linda.”

Linda and her husband both came down with the deadly illness a few weeks ago and she ended up spending 10 days in intensive care before returning home to recover.

Others wished him well but were “looking forward” to him NOT presenting the ITV show this morning.

One said: “As much as you’ve p****d me off recently, I do hope you’re ok.”

Another commented: “Hope the result is negative, however your pompous behaviour wont be missed from GMB.”

“Might not agree with your views on this pandemic, however I hope the test is negative. Never wish ill on anyone,” a third reminded.

A fourth agreed: “Because Im an adult & not childish, I wish you well. But will not miss your ranting in the morning.”

Piers has been very vocal throughout the crisis in holding the government to account for their decisions.

He recently responded to hate from trolls, explaining he will continue to do his job regardless of the “abuse” he receives.

We hope the presenter receives good news at this trying time.
