Florence and the Machine debuted their rendition of Jenny of Oldstones during the credits of last nights Game of Thrones.

While fans were left getting over that sex scene, as well as trying to comprehend Jon Snows latest revelation, Florence Welch soothed viewers whirring minds with her chilling vocals.

And now, a lyric video has been released for the tune, reflecting on everything that has happened over the past seven series.

Get your tissues ready – we even get reminded of The Red Wedding.

In a statement, the shows creators (and long time Florence fans) David Benioff and D.B. Weiss spoke about why they approached the act to feature in the final season of the HBO hit.

They said: Weve always been huge fans of Florences music, and the Season 2 trailer with her song Seven Devils was possibly the most powerful weve ever had.

The pair added: Were still pleasantly shocked that she agreed to sing Jenny of Oldstones, and were in love with the result.

And it seems Florence is just as much in love with the series as the writers are with her as she also gave her take on the tune.

When I first heard the song it sounded like a Celtic lullaby to me, the 32-year-old said.

Celtic music has always been in my blood, so I felt like I could do something with it. The magic and ritual in Game of Thrones, not to mention the costumes, have always appealed to me.

She added: I am honoured to be a part of the final season.

The song was originally written for the series by no other than Ramin Djawadi, Dan Weiss, David Benioff and George R.R. Martin.

A trailer for the upcoming episode dropped shortly after last nights viewings and well it doesnt exactly fill us with hope.
