Former England all-rounder Luke Wright has committed another three years to Sussex.

Wright, 32, has already spent 14 seasons at Hove and has agreed to stay until 2020.

A former Sussex captain, Wright has won six major trophies with the club, including back-to-back championships in 2006/2007 and a Natwest Pro40/Twenty20 Cup double in 2009.

He was also part of England's World T20-winning side in 2010 and his short-form skills have seen him play in seven different T20 tournaments across the globe.

Wright said: "I believe that my best years as a cricketer are in front of me and I am excited to be helping this talented young squad in fulfilling its potential.

"With a new vision and a new coach to be appointed, we hope to bring success back to this great club."

Director of cricket Keith Greenfield stressed the importance of Wright's experience.

"I'm delighted that Luke has committed himself to the long-term future of the club and that he is excited about developing our talented young players," he said.

"As one of our important, senior players he will play a key role."
