Mick Carter is determined not to let Grafton Hill get their hands on the Queen Vic in EastEnders and tonight’s episode sees him kick off the big fight back against the property development scheme, headed up by James Willmott-Brown.

The Carters have been told that they owe £50k in repair costs in order to have a chance of keeping the pub – and Willmott-Brown and his family of schemers know full well that they can’t afford it.

But this evening, Mick will put the ball into the court of his loyal punters, making the big announcement that due to the repair fees, the freeholders will get their hands on the pub and it may be sold to developers.

Naturally, the speech has the desired effect and, as Fi watches on uncomfortably, the community rallies round the Carters and agree to pitch together to raise the money that the Queen Vic needs.

As the hub of the Albert Square community, the locals are determined to win this battle and for the first time, the Carters have some serious hope as everyone enthusiastically throws ideas into the ring.
