Tyson Fury may be back in training, but the heavyweight still has a long road back to the ring ahead of him if the latest snaps of the Brit are anything to go by.

Ricky Hatton and Dave Allen welcomed Fury to their gym this week as the former unified world champion continues his bid to get back in fighting shape.

It is almost two years to the day since Fury last fought, but he has promised to return in 2018 and is targeting three bouts in the next 12 months.

Hatton shared some footage and pictures of Fury’s visit to his gym and it seems like the heavyweight is still a long way off peak condition.

Fury has refused to hide his weight issues, instead embracing the challenge of shedding almost seven stone in preparation for his comeback fight.

The British Boxing Board of Control confirmed on Thursday that Fury’s doping hearing has been rescheduled to take place in December.

Should the hearing go ahead, it should mean Fury will know by the turn of the year whether he will be cleared to return to the ring.

Fury is currently without a boxing licence, but should he be found not guilty of the doping charge, the BBBofC should re-issue his licence.

Boxing fans will be hoping Fury can make it back with potentially massive fights ahead.

Anthony Joshua is just one of several big names Fury has called out in recent weeks with the ‘Gypsy King’ convinced he can run through the current crop of heavyweights.

Hatton assured fans on social media that Fury was looking sharper every day and issued a warning with the picture of a topless Fury.

He said: ‘Promise you don’t let Tyson Fury’s look fool you.

‘Given more time. What I’ve seen the last few weeks. Watch this space. Trust the hitman.’
