Amir Khan has shown his competitive streak when talking about his rivals in the I’m A Celeb Jungle by declaring ‘we’re not friends.’

Things have been getting well-underway during the ITV show but World Champion Amir does not seem to want to lose a single thing in tonight’s episode.

It’s not like the 30-year-old has had the easiest ride so far in the Australian outback, with his snake ‘phobia’ and all the screaming and shrieking he has been doing since joining his fellow celeb friends in some gruelling – yet entertaining – tasks.

Speaking of his opposition, the cheeky celeb said: ‘We’re not friends. We go into the battlefield and we have to have it out.’

The Bolton native was also not too happy with Kez, which was when his fighting talk started to really come into play.

He commented: ‘So Kez has got me working like crazy. I just take everything in and I just don’t let it get to me. I do get angry inside but I think whatever because at the end of the day they’re in the same position as me.’

But later when campmate Iain explained the importance of the newest trials Amir really showed what he is like when willing to win.

As the Boys vs Girls competition neared, Amir said: ‘It’s going to be very competitive. I know the girls want to win. They want a nice feast tonight so we have to beat them.’

Iain replied: ‘We’ll give it the best crack. It’s all a bit of fun.’

But Amir is not about that life as he teased him by replying with a straight face: ‘Nothing’s fun.’ before adding, ‘I’m joking.’

That’s the world Championship spirit! We bet his campmates wished they saw this when they were relying on him to complete the very first bushtucker trial this year.

Amir quit the first trial abruptly after accidentally pulling out a snake from a hole.

Amir has also been in hot water with viewers very recently for a sexist comment when he asked his fellow celebs ‘Can a woman be Prime Minister?’

Last night Stanley Johnson was voted to be the Prime Minister of the camp and Amir asked his wise leader: ‘If something God forbid happened to you is it possible that a woman could take over?’

Stanley patiently explained: ‘Well a woman would take over because Toff is my deputy.’ This caused Amir to question: ‘Has there ever been a woman prime minister?’ before quickly remembering Margaret Thatcher.

Of course, the others pointed out there has been a more recent example… the current PM Theresa May. The father-of-one immediately said: ‘Don’t tell anyone that.’

Twitter was less forgiving about the comment than his fellow celebs.

Amir khan asks if there has ever been a woman Prime Minister. He is neither witty nor clever. A shameless lack of education is nothing to be proud of. Obviously has no idea Women also died for our votes. #ImACeleb

Another didn’t hold back: ‘I genuinely don’t understand the rallying of Amir Khan. I find he lacks intelligence, he’s mildly sexist, naive, simple-minded, ignorant and just extremely dim.’

I genuinely don’t understand the rallying of Amir Khan. I find he lacks intelligence, he’s mildly sexist, naive, simple-minded, ignorant and just extremely dim. And no, I don’t find any of those attributes endearing. #ImACeleb#ExtraCamp@imacelebrity

Is Amir Khan serious what idiot would legitimately think that in this day and age a woman couldn't be prime minister? #ImACeleb

However, the majority of people were just shocked that the Olympic medalist genuinely thought that over 50 per cent of the population weren’t eligible to lead the country.
