Well, he was right about not seeing a deal, because no one was there to make one.

The Democratic leaders said they intended to chat directly with Trump and colleagues in order to prevent a government shutdown next month.

However, they pulled out when it became clear Trump was standing firm on his decision.
He later said: ‘They’ve been all talk, and they’ve been no action, and now it’s even worse. Now it’s not even talk.
‘So they’re not showing up for the meeting. I think that we’re in a very good position in terms of the meeting we just had, I think we have tremendous support.’
Trump took the opportunity to pose for photos with the empty chairs.
Obviously, it got the Photoshop treatment.
