The BBC are going to take on streaming giants Netflix and Amazon this Christmas by making a ton of classic shows available to watch on iPlayer.

The Beeb have sorted your Christmas telly binge right out by putting boxsets of dramas and comedies as well as classic festive episodes of EastEnders.

If you missed such shows as Blue Planet, Doctor Who, Line Of Duty and Sherlock the first time around, they’ve got you.

Every single episode of Doctor Who from 2005 onwards will be available to watch, as well as all four series of Line Of Duty, and both series of Sarah Lancashire-starrer Happy Valley from December 16.

Series three and four of Sherlock and the 2016 special The Abominable Bride will be available to watch as well.

The full series of The Blue Planet, which was first broadcast in 2001, 2006’s Planet Earth, last year’s Planet Earth II and 2011’s Frozen Planet are also going on iPlayer.

Comedy hits will include the entire series of Inside Number 9, Fleabag and This Country, as well as classic episodes of Gavin & Stacey, Bad Education, Josh, Murder In Successville and Him & Her.

EastEnders fan? You’re in luck too, as you will be able to watch the show’s past explosive Christmas episodes including Tiffany Mitchell’s death in 1998 and Den serving Angie divorce papers in 1986.

Taboo, Wolf Hall and Peaky Blinders – which is currently airing its fourth series – will also be available.

This is the first time the Beeb has put its box sets on iPlayer on such a large scale.
