Stranger Things has officially been renewed for a third season on Netflix.
The streaming service announced the news on Friday, with a comical tweet on their official Twitter page.
After a poll asking fans if they want more Stranger Things, the account wrote: ‘FOR THE LOVE OF STEVE, YES. Hold on to your nail bats. Season 3 is officially happening.’

The show’s second season released back in October this year, and was met with positive acclaim to match the first 80s nostalgia trip.
It also cemented the superstar status of its cast, featuring Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder and David Harbour.
Some fans however have picked fault over Eleven’s almost superhero-esque storyline, so it’ll be interesting to see how creators Matt and Ross Duffer approach her arc in the follow-up.
