The upcoming episode of Night Goblin, on which the late Jonghyun made a guest appearance, will not be aired.
The trailer for the Christmas special of the JTBC show showing Jonghyun and Minho of SHINee joining the Goblins dropped just hours before Jonghyun died.
The K-pop idol took his own life aged just 27 on 18 December, with police confirming his death as a suicide.
In light of his tragic passing, JTBC has chosen not to air their Christmas special of Night Goblin.
The network said: ‘The 21st episode of Night Goblin, which was scheduled to air on Sunday (December 24) at 6:30 p.m. KST, will be replaced with a special broadcast.’
It is unknown whether the episode will ever be aired.
At the end of Sunday night’s edition of Night Goblin – in which the ‘Goblins’ attempt to be first in line at various restaurants and recreation hotspots – a teaser was shown for next Sunday’s episode, with Jonghyun popping up alongside NU’EST member JR (also called Kim Jong-hyun).
The Christmas special of the show sees Jonghyun and the Goblins complete various missions as well as attempting to make the dreams of fans come true in a series of non-celebrity challenges, while Minho also makes an appearance.

Minho and his SHINee bandmates Key, Onew and Taemin carried Jonghyun’s coffin today on the third day of his funeral.
After 10,000 fans paid their respects over the three-day service, Jonghyun was laid to rest as his devastated bandmates acted as head mourners.
Key posted a heartbreaking farewell to his friend online, writing: ‘I’m sorry for visiting you so late because of work, and I’m sorry for not being a source of strength to you when you were lonely.’
