A White House expansive amnesty plan crafted by top administration officials is the “beginning of the end” of a Republican majority in the House, a House Republican reportedly told the media.

According to Politico reporter Rachael Bade, House Republicans are enraged by an amnesty plan — crafted by Marc Short, Gen. John Kelly, Kirstjen Nielsen, and Stephen Miller — leaked on Thursday that gives a pathway to U.S. citizenship to at least 1.8 million illegal aliens who are enrolled and eligible for President Obama’s DACA program.

“This is the beginning of the end of the GOP majority in the House,” a House Republican told Bade, alluding to the fact that GOP voters would be less likely to support Republicans in the 2018 midterm elections when they are backing an amnesty plan that does not benefit Americans. “In a year when the Democrats impeach Trump, we can point to this moment.”

The plan by White House advisers includes:

  • Pathway to U.S. citizenship for at least 1.8M illegal aliens
  • A nearly 10-year wait before extended-family chain migration is ended
  • A repurposing of the 50,000 visas that currently import foreign nationals through the Visa Lottery
  • $25 billion to fund the construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border

President Trump’s administration had just this week regained leverage on the immigration issue, with new public polling revealing how popular the president’s pro-American immigration reforms — like cutting legal immigration levels — are with voters.

Additionally, before the White House expansive amnesty plan was leaked, Democrats had taken a major blow after they shut down the federal government in order to force an amnesty for illegal aliens. Shortly after the shutdown, the Democrats had to retract their position and reopen the government.

As Breitbart News reported, expanding amnesty to more than the illegal aliens enrolled in DACA could potentially lead to the majority of the 12 to 30 million illegal aliens living in the U.S. getting amnesty, as such a plan becomes uncontrollable and not containable, Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach explained.

Likewise, because the Short/Kelly/Nielsen/Miller amnesty plan does not retroactively end the process of chain migration, which allows newly naturalized citizens to bring their foreign relatives to the country with them, Americans would not see the end of mass immigration to the U.S. for at least a decade.
