General rule of thumb, don’t talk about religion, politics, or almost having one’s nipple bitten off.
On Monday’s First Date’s Hotel Griff is back and this week he’s been paired up with the lovely Emily. Although Emily might need a lesson in appropriate first date chat.
She kicks things off by asking ‘you’re not a wine snob are you?’ which is never a great opener for someone who might like something better than a magnum of Lambrini.
Thankfully, Griff only started supping the stuff last August, so there’s no offense there. But he’s shocked further down the line as the conversation continues.
‘I have a puppy, but he bit my nipple,’ she says before they’ve even got their entrees out of the way. ‘It was the most painful thing I’ve been through in my life.’
But while Griff could have been put off by that comment, he has the conversation sorted, retorting with the all important question: ‘Are you fully recovered?’
Yes Griff, you’ll be pleased to know her nipples are whole again.
The first dater followed that little nugget of information with another bit of conversational gold – she has slight psychopathic tendencies.
‘Do you like psychopathic documentaries?’ she asks. ‘Like about serial killers or weird people? It’s just what I enjoy watching.’
To be fair, that probably scores more points than if she admitted she watches KUWTK.
Griff then hits back with the only real question on his mind: ‘Who’s your favourite serial killer?’ and we clearly have a match made in heaven.
