Top Gear presenters Matt LeBlanc and Chris Harris were left with egg on their faces (and a load of other places) when a stunt involving 540 eggs left them covered. This is no yolk!

In the new series, Chris heads to rural France to learn all about the history of one of his favourite cars, the Citroen 2CV.

He is joined by Matt LeBlanc, who wants to push the 2CV to its limit with the help of a ton of eggs, and a couple of specially trained sheep.

No further details of the wild stunt have been revealed, but the pile of eggs end up breaking in the car, stinking the whole thing out of the 50-year-old upholstery.

Chris has to try his best to convince Matt of the charms of his beloved car, but will it work?

It took six people two hours to clean out the 2CV, but the smell hung around even longer than that.

We’re trying very hard not to retch…

The new series of Top Gear will see the team go globetrotting once again, heading to such countries as Japan, USA and Italy. Bring it on.
