The shock elimination left contestants shook on Tuesday night’s episode as they saw their two new friends leave The Lodge.

But every cloud has a silver lining, as Callum Pardoe and Warren Phillips sparked a bromance when they realised how much they meant to each other when they were told that one of them could be leaving.

After Tom and Shanice left, the boys gathered around to have a chat about their remaining time in Africa.

Warren said: ‘Sitting there then, it’s hit home.’

And Callum agreed adding: ‘We’ve shared this experience from the start… It can be resolved much quicker.’

The 21-year-old continued: ‘I want to keep this short and sweet. You’re my boy, I’m sorry man it just doesn’t feel right that your name was in the bottom two with a chance of going.’

It’s all starting to get a bit emotional isn’t it?

Callum then revealed that he felt the same way too, as Warren said: ‘We’ve come so far in the challenges, messing around… we’re so close.’

The pair clashed in Tuesday’s episode when Callum found out that Warren was making a move on his ‘ex’ Mariam Musa.

After Callum gave her the shove, he told the 23-year-old that he didn’t have a problem with her going off with another one of the boys.

But when it came to the crunch, and Mariam started to get close to Warren, it turned out Callum actually had a big problem with it.

He revealed in the Tree House: ‘I feel like the way Warren and Maz have done it is a little bit sly, a little bit snakey and if it was vice versa I just wouldn’t have done it.’

However, the boys made up in Wednesday’s episode and when thinking about the results of the elimination, Warren went to the Tree House to open up about his relationship with Callum.

He said: ‘With him being in the bottom two and a chance of him being voted off, it hit home how much he actually means to me here. We realised we are both idiots and now we can go into tomorrow’s challenge and be Boys again.’

But was this make-up all for show?

Warren told Mariam about the reconciliation and said: ‘I did that for you by the way.’

Looks like there might be trouble brewing still after all.

Survival of the Fittest returns 9pm on ITV2.
