MMORPG’s are big business now, and aren’t the exclusive domain of gamers or computer geniuses anymore – even your dad can get on World of Warcraft if he wants to (the n00b).

And let’s face it the world as we know it is changing fast, and as usual it’s the ‘kids’ – more specifically teens – who are the torch-bearers for anything that involves social interaction and tech.

So, what happens when you blend the narrative of online gaming and virtual reality with the day-to-day drama and issues of teenage life?

Well if you add in a KILLER plot twist to that mix then you get Channel 4’s latest sure-fire hit TV series, Kiss Me First.

Based on the novel of the same name, Kiss Me First sees Leila (played by Tallulah Haddon) stumble across Red Pill, a secret paradise hidden on the edges of her favourite online game and encounters a bunch of like-minded gamers.

The trailer throws us in at the deep end as we’re introduced to both Leila and Tess, however, things appear to take a turn for the worse after she discovers Red Pill and all the treats it has to offer.

As a series of shots flash between the real world and computer one, we’re given the impression things in Red Pill are quickly spiraling out of control while Leila’s life in the real world does the same.
