The escalating feud between Joe Biden and Donald Trump might be absurd and disturbing to some, but it also makes for perfect late-night fodder. On Thursday, hosts like Seth Meyers and Trevor Noah fired off a few excellent jokes about the rising tension, which began after Biden said that when he was in high school, he would have “beat[en] the hell” out of a guy like Trump for his crude remarks about women. Trump, as is his nature, immediately responded on Twitter, telling “Crazy Joe Biden” that the former vice president would “go down fast and hard” in a fight. Both men are in their 70s, Meyers reminded the Late Night crowd on Thursday.

“Can you imagine these two actually fighting? It would end as soon as one of them accidentally stepped on his own super-long testicles,” he quipped.

He noted that Biden should be ashamed for kicking off this feud with such comments—especially since, if the time came to pick someone to actually fight Trump, the people wouldn’t pick Biden. “We’re gonna pick Ronda Rousey.

Jimmy Fallon also joined the fray, rolling his eyes at the back-and-forth and mockingly noting, “And women everywhere said, ‘Thank god we didn’t elect an emotional woman to lead the country.’”

“It’s crazy!” he continued. “It got even weirder when Bernie Sanders ripped off his shirt and yelled, ‘Come on, let’s do this thing! Come at me, bro!’”

Jimmy Kimmel joked that Trump might need “a boxing teacher” at this point. Kimmel, for the record, thinks Biden totally could have taken Trump in high school, dubbing the fight “POTUS vs. JOETUS.”

He also staged a parody press conference with “Sarah ‘Knucklebee’ Sanders”—i.e., just Kimmel’s hand with a face painted on it, topped off with a dark wig. “You sit right down or I’ll beat your sorry ass,” “she” lobbed at one of the mock journalists.

Trevor Noah weighed in on the battle as well, saying he was not sure who would really win this fight. “Biden seems scrappy, but if 70 years of McDonald’s couldn’t take Trump down, I don’t know what can!” he joked.

He also compared Biden to the Black Panther character Erik Killmonger, the power-hungry villain who challenges King T’Challa in a fight in order to win the crown. “He thinks this is how he gets to take over the White House!” Noah observed. This is what we’ve come to, folks.
