You cant be a real American if you stay sober during the Final Four.

There are very few occasions in life where you can drink as much as your heart desires, and theres nothing anybody can say about it. The Final Four is without question one of those occasions.

The #FinalFour is set!

College basketball is part of the fabric of this great country, and people who dont watch shouldnt be trusted. Let me say that again for everybody. They are not to be trusted!

Why would you be smashing beers for the Final Four? This is America, and its what this country was founded on. Back in 2014, my Wisconsin Badgers were playing Kentucky in the Final Four. It was a watershed moment for Wisconsin fans everywhere under the age of 40. It represented the program taking the next step.

I woke up that fateful day around seven in the morning, and had a beer in my hand before I even hit the shower. Pretty sure I had four or five more before I was done drying myself off. Setting the tone in sports is very important, and I was setting the tone of raging. I wasnt doing it for me. I was doing it for all the other people out there.

The Badgers lost that game in heartbreaking fashion, but you can bet your ass that I was blitzed by the time I hit the sack to catch some sleep. Look, drinking guarantees youre in for a good time. You think I wanted to be sober and watch the Badgers lose on a gut-wrenching shot? No, at least I had a steady buzz going.

Theres no excuse not to follow my example. Not one excuse at all. Do it for yourself, do it for your teams and do it for all those that came before you. Its the standard of excellence I expect out of Americans.
