Johnny Manziel was hospitalized late Monday night in Texas over a reaction he had to prescription medication.
Sources connected to the QB tell us … he was admitted to a hospital in Humble, TX on Monday. He had been in the area to attend the JMBLYA concert with friends after playing in a golf tournament hosted by friend and former Texas A&M teammate Mike Evans.
Manziels rep, Denise Michaels, tells us … “It seems like he had a reaction to an adjustment in his prescription. Hes fine and headed home.”
Im going to admit that when I saw Manziel was in the hospital because of drugs, this isnt what I thought itd be. Dont get me wrong. Im very happy it sounds relatively minor, but given his history, there were some other very real possibilities.
Hopefully, this doesnt throw too much of a wrench in his comeback plans. It doesnt sound like it should, considering hes already been released from the hospital. We dont need Johnny Football to continue being out of football because of medical problems.
This is just a minor setback in a major comeback.
