The city of Lake Worth, Florida, accidentally warned residents on Sunday that the zombie apocalypse was upon them. The emergency alert, which was supposed to inform residents of a city-wide power outage, was reportedly sent by mistake just before 2am.

The notice also indicated that over half a million residents were still in “danger,” but that progress had been made. “There are now far less than seven-thousand-three-hundred-eighty customers involved due to extreme zombie activity.” (RELATED: Missile Attack False Alarm Causes Chaos In Hawaii)
The citys public information officer, Ben Kerr, reassured residents that there was no real danger, and that the 7,880 people who were actually affected by the power outage were back up and running within a half hour.
“We are looking into the reports that the system mentioned zombies. I want to reiterate that Lake Worth does not have any zombie activity currently …” the citys communications director wrote.https://t.co/YfrPFQF2NW
