Olly Murs was reportedly offered a whopping £3 million to become a judge on this years X Factor, until he was beaten to the punch by Robbie Williams.
The 34-year-old singer had apparently accepted a return to the show if he could continue his judging stint on The Voice, until Robbie and his wife Ayda Field reportedly signed up – leaving only one spot for a female judge.
Speaking to The Mirror, a source from the X Factor said: Were all huge fans of Ollys, but Robbie is one of the biggest stars in the world.
When the opportunity came for him to join, we couldnt pass it up.
They also claim bosses on The Voice werent too happy about the deal, saying Olly would be dropped if he did accept the offer.

Its yet to be confirmed whether Robbie and wife Ayda have signed up to the show, but the singer confirmed he had talks with Simon Cowell and didnt rule out the possibility in a recent interview.

Speaking on This Morning, Robbie said: Me and Simon and Lauren and the kids and little Eric hang out an awful lot and we talk about a lot of things.

The X Factor is set to return later this year with a distinctly different judging panel, following the departure of Louis Walsh.
