Fans werent impressed that Love Islands Iain Stirling appeared to make light of Princess Dianas deat..
Every comedian lands in hot water over a joke that wasnt made in the best of taste from time-to-time.
And it seems like that moment came for Iain Stirling on tonights Love Island as he made a joke about the princess and the car crash.
Doing what he does best – responding to the shows cast with a one-liner – the 30-year-old comic used Dani Dyer talking about her fairytale romance with Jack Fincham as a springboard for a punchline.
Speaking in the beach hut, Dani said of the situation in Casa Amor and her being separated from Jack: Youre on your way to your fairytale and then theres a massive car crash, and thats it. And, I dont want that to happen – I just want to stay in my car.

The joke was most likely made without thinking of the late princess, but Maybe Iain would be best to pay attention to the wider context of a gag in future.
Princess Diana passed away in 1997 when a car she was travelling in crashed in a tunnel in Paris, France. Both the ex-wife of Prince Charles and her partner Dodi Fayed died as a result of the accident.
