Coronation Street spoilers: Eva Prices horror as Johnny Connor kidnaps baby Susie

Johnny Connor is set to take drastic action in Coronation Street, leaving Eva Price traumatised as he kidnaps baby Susie and plans to flee the country with her. Can Eva get her daughter back – and is this the end of the line for Johnny?

Since losing Aidan, Johnny has hit rock bottom and is barely recognisable as himself as he has lashed out left, right and centre. And now, Eva is the focus of his bitterness as he believes he has the right to bring up his granddaughter. But the custody battle is about to turn even more serious when the mediation comes to nothing.

Eva sits down with Johnny and Jenny for the session to discuss Susies future and Johnny immediately starts a conflict by brandishing the faked birth certificate, forcing Eva to express her regret over the plan. Hitting back, she then says that she wouldnt want Jenny to look after a baby with her track record, referring to her dark past which saw her kidnap Jack Webster as she grieved for the loss of her own son.

The meeting descends into a row and, back home, Johnny is helpless and accuses Jenny of scuppering his chances of custody. He later tells Liz that he plans to leave Jenny as she is a liability but despite harbouring love for Johnny, Liz cant support his views and tells him that Susie belongs with Eva.

This drives Johnny to take action and when Eva wakes the next morning to find Susie gone, her suspicions that it was Toyah Battersby soon change when it becomes clear that Johnny is missing. The police are involved and Johnny hides out in a hotel room, cradling Susie and wondering what to do next.

Kate and Jenny search the flat for clues and realise things are even worse as Johnny hasnt been taking his MS pills – putting both him and Susie at risk. As a terrified Eva makes an appeal for Susies return, Johnny calls Liz and when she arrives, he says he cant bear to lose his granddaughter.

Liz urges Johnny to give her up but he wont listen to her and he tells Liz that he plans to go on the run to Spain and wants her to go with him. As Johnny kisses Liz, will she be persuaded by his foolhardy plan?

Or will she tell Eva where Susie is?
