Well, that slogan worked for at least one man.
The return of the US version of Shameless is imminent, with the Showtime adaptation of the comedy-drama set to premiere its ninth season in September.
The 12 new episodes will once again follow the antics of the dysfunctional Gallagher family in Chicago, who are led by the frequently outrageous Frank (played by William H. Macy).
The trailer for season 9 has been released this week, showing Franks apparent pivot to politics – with the preview clip opening by giving a glimpse of the shows central character addressing a bar.
Times are changing and theyre changing too damn fast! Am I right? he asks, to a room full of silence from his fellow barflies.
Keeping up the, er, good reputation of politicians, Frank is later seen in the trailer sneaking into a campaign office and lying about both his name and nationality.

Yup, sounds about right.
Elsewhere, Fiona (Emmy Rossum) suggests that the family will be getting into plenty of shenanigans yet again in season nine, asking at the dinner table: How many times have we bailed out family? Isnt that just the cost of being a Gallagher?
Our moneys on Frank needing a bit of help from his nearest and dearest.
Still, we bet some of us would prefer him to be in the White Office right now rather than the current incumbent…
Shameless will return in the US on Showtime at 9pm on 9 September.
