Stuart Highway was alive and in the mood for revenge in tonights EastEnders. Micks deranged former friend was determined to ruin Tinas life.

Tina was shaken when she impulsively hit Stuarts head with a wrench after he goaded her about her past suffering. She ran to Mick and Linda for help but couldnt walk inside The Arches for fear of finding Stuart dead. It was Linda who told her that Stuart was missing.

Stuart had gone to the police. His finely tuned manipulative skills were on full display as he told the police that Tinas attack was unprovoked. Stuart told the police that the pair had argued over Tina keying Stuarts car.

Tina was back at the Queen Vic and panicking. Linda firmly told her that she wasnt going to jail and a worried Mick assured Tina that he would think of something. Shirley returned with impeccable timing, telling her family that the police were outside. As the police led Tina away, Shirley demanded to know what on earth was going on.

The police began to question Tina and put pressure on her to talk, even though her solicitor urged her to stay quiet. Outside, Shirley tried to calm down a tense Mick and said that Tina would be fine if she didnt lose her head under questioning. Mick doubted that Tina had a chance, even if she told the police her full story.

Tina cracked under questioning, overruled her lawyer and tried to explain to the police that Stuart had attacked her years before. She said that hed locked her in the boot of a car and had threatened to burn her alive. The police were unconvinced by her story and a stressed Tina ended up admitting that she had attacked Stuart with the wrench.

Outside the station Mick and Shirley confronted Stuart, who implied that his quest for revenge began when Mick belittled him when they fought. Mick and Shirley told Stuart that he didnt have to try to hurt Tina to hurt Mick. Stuart replied that he was succeeding in hurting Tina and that hed tell everyone in the square about his head injury.

Shirley grew even angrier when it emerged that Tina had confessed to attacking Stuart. But Mick tried to comfort Tina, telling her that the police would look into Stuarts past and find something.

Stuart busily began spreading the news of Tinas arrest. Keanu was unnerved when Stuart probed him about his thoughts on Tina. Stuart was clearly out not just to land Tina behind bars but to cut her and the Carters off from the community of Albert Square.

Stuart then suggested that Keanu flip a coin to help Stuart decide whether to withdraw his statement or not. Keanu protested but eventually did so under some duress. But what way had the coin fallen?

A desperate Mick was at the Queen Vic, trying his best to help Tina. Mick called all his old friends, in a bid to find if any of them had witnessed Stuarts attack on Tina. But he had little luck.

The Carters were horrified when Stuart strolled into the pub, declaring that Tina was lucky because the coin had fallen the right way. Confused and failing to understand, Shirley told Stuart to get out of the pub and threw a drink over him, in classic Queen Vic style.

Stuart decided that hed changed his mind about withdrawing the statement and pulled out a coin to flip again. Shirley shoved Stuart up against the bar but it was too late – Stuart had flipped the coin, which fell against Tina. Stuart gloated in front of a horrified Carter clan – Tina, he was certain, was going to prison.
