When it comes to throwing shade, theres no one more qualified than a RuPauls Drag Race contestant.

But when queens clash, it can get very ugly indeed.

Sharon Needles – season 4 winner of Drag Race – is known for her risque sense of humour and often makes comments on Instagram that some consider offensive.

Her latest post involves a joke about the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York on September 11 2001.

Needles captioned the picture Animal farm…

As expected, it didnt go down well. Especially with former Drag Race contestant Willam Belli.

The pair got on well during their stint together on Drag Race in 2012.

But this new development may have soured their relationship somewhat.

Commenting on the post (which you can see below), Willam wrote: U obviously dont know anyone who died that day. I do. U know i love u but u got better thoughts in your head, mouth and feed than this, sis.

She may have a point, Shazza.

At the time of writing, the post had more than 34,000 likes and 1,200 comments.

It has now been deleted.

Now deleted, the joke sparked outrage online (Picture: Instagram/sharonneedlespgh)

One follower urged Sharon to delete this, while another labelled the image savage.

Many were quick to condemn Needles, including chaske_suxx, who commented: WOW you were my favorite drag queen HA not anymore, go fuck yourself honey

Another follower commented: Never a single image defined you so accurately.

Perhaps the angriest response was: you think youre clever? Well think again. I hope one day you understand that there are things you cant laugh about. Bye

Sharon is yet to make a public reply, but whatever her response, it better be fabulous or she may invite further criticism from the drag community.
