Jean Slater just cant leave Hayley Slater alone in EastEnders tonight.
A day after disastrously trying and failing to track down the father of Hayleys baby, Jean is up to her old tricks again.
She volunteers Hayley to babysit Hope, without Hayleys permission.
Jean thinks itll be good practice but she doesnt quite trust Hayley as much as she claims to. Jean leaves a baby monitor in the room so that she can check in on the pair from far away.
Hayley is hurt when she spots the baby monitor and realises that Jean doubted her. She sets a trap for Jean, who soon panics and comes running to the house.
But as Hope starts crying and Hayley worries, Jean explains that the babys behaviour is normal.
She gently tells Hayley that she will need help raising her baby and suggests, again, that Hayley tell the father. Hayley admits that she cant and is in a complete mess. But does she tell Jean that the father is Kats estranged husband Alfie?

Later the Slaters warmly praise Hayleys babysitting efforts and a guilty Hayley feels awful about what shes done.
Kat will get closer to the truth next week, when she suspects that Hayley is secretly speaking to Alfie. Hayley cant hide her pregnancy for long – the Slaters have repeatedly commented on how much weight shes put on.
Will the truth come out before Hayley makes her planned exit? Knowing Albert Square, we reckon so…
